Frequently Asked Questions
“Do you offer payment plans?”
Sometimes it’s easier to pay for an item over a period of time, and that’s why I would be more than happy to set up a payment plan with you. I am also set up through Square and Paypal so I can accept most major credit cards.
“I really want to have family photos, but I am worried my child won’t follow directions. Should I still schedule a session?”
The key to getting a child to come out of his/her shell is to create a personal connection. I try to gather information about your child before the session so that I can come prepared with tricks that will help me establish that bond. There are also things you can do to help prepare them for the portrait session, and techniques that I will apply at the session to help retain their focus.
“What happens if the weather is bad and we have an outdoor shoot?”
We live in the PNW, and that means we can never fully predict the weather. Some days it is sunny out and our beautiful Seattle shines. And some other days it rains… and rains… and rains. If your session is scheduled during one of these wet days, I would be more than happy to reschedule or try to find a new location that provides a bit of shelter from the elements.
“I have no idea how to dress my family. Any advice?”
When you have a family of more than one person coordinating outfits may seem like a daunting task. As my client, you will be receiving helpful tips on what to wear and other ways to prepare for your session. We can discuss wardrobe at our consultation before your photo session. Some advice will also be sent via email 3-4 weeks before your session so you have plenty of time to gather everything you need.
“Can I buy the disk of images?”
Certainly, only the images will be provided on a wooden USB flash drive since some computers don’t come with disc drives anymore. I always recommend backing up your photos to online storage for extra protection.
“Do you travel?”
Currently I travel all over Western Washington from just north of Seattle to as far south as Olympia, WA. Occasionally I offer a few sessions in Portland, OR when I am down visiting with family.
